Frequently asked questions

Which racket shape is right for me: round, teardrop, or diamond?

Round is suitable for beginners due to maximum control and a wide sweet spot. Teardrop is a versatile choice for intermediate players as it balances power and maneuverability. Diamond is designed for professionals seeking maximum shot power through a high balance.

What is a Sweet Spot?

The Sweet Spot is an area on the surface of the racket where, upon impact, the ball achieves maximum speed and accuracy with minimal vibration. In round rackets, it is located in the center and is the largest (forgiving errors). In diamond-shaped rackets, it is shifted upward and is smaller, requiring high playing technique.

How often should you change a padel racket?

The frequency of replacement depends on the intensity of play. If you play 2-3 times a week, it is advisable to update your racket every 6–12 months. Even without visible damage, the internal foam (EVA or Foam) loses its elasticity over time ("bottoms out"), leading to a loss of power and diminished ball control.

How much should a padel racket weigh?

Most adult rackets weigh between 340 and 375 g. Lighter rackets are easier to handle and kinder to the arm, while heavier ones give more power but require better physical condition.

Which padel racket should I buy if I am just starting?

Choose a comfortable racket with a soft core, low or medium balance and a large sweet spot. Our beginner rackets category gathers models from Adidas, Nox and Head designed for your first matches.

The Nox 2027 collection renews the Luxury (Genius and Ventus), Classic (Pro Cup) and Advanced (Equation) ranges. The headline feature is the VCS anti-vibration system, which according to NOX filters 60% more vibration than the previous system, plus Weight Balance with counterweights of up to 8 g on several Luxury models.

Which Nox 2027 racket should you choose?

For power, the Attack versions: diamond shape, high balance and Oversize Grip. For an all-round game, the teardrops, such as the Genius 18K Alum or the Ventus Hybrid 12K XTREM. For control, the round rackets: Ventus Control 3K, Pro Cup Coorp or Equation. If you prefer a light racket, the Genius 12K Alum XTREM Lite or the Pro Cup Silver.
